Mira van de griendt & lucas malec

about us

We love Tango and we would like to share that passion with you. Discover why Tango is a one way trip, with this mix of music, poetry and dance, you will get lost in the best hugs and a smooth walk on the dance floor.
We look to create a relax atmosphere and a place to not only discover tango but also to connect with people and learn more about Tango culture, poetry, dance and music.
A passion that unites people all over the world.

We work together since 2015 and we met each other on the red floor of the practica of Tinta Roja. We are interested in the old milongueros and social tango (that happens in the milonga), not stage or show tango. Our teachers are for example Jorge and Marita Dispari, Bichy (Andres Laza Moreno) & Eladia Cordoba, Hernan Alvarez Prieto, Adrian & Amanda Costa. With the purpose of growing we did championships in Germany and Istanbul.

More about Lucas & Mira

Mira van de Griendt

In 2004 Mira started with Argentine tango as a hobby. Since she has travelled to Buenos Aires many times to enjoy and learn as much as possible about the origin of tango, until she founded MiraTango in 2014. She participates in international competition, where she was among the finalists in London in 2017.

Teaching has taught her a lot, but by making meters on the dance floors in the Netherlands, Buenos Aires, Naples, Berlin, Brussels, Croatia, Prague, Basel (etc…) she has come to love the versatility of Argentine tango a little more.

As a much-sought-after teacher, Mira provides courses, workshops and private lessons, as well as performances and tang holidays at home and abroad. Mira and her students are very happy that Lucas Malec is her dance partner during the lessons in Zoetermeer and Amsterdam.

Within her tango journey she is in search of musicality, expression, technique, dialogue, the meeting with other countries and cultures and an embrace that continues to develop. Www.MiraTango.nl
