Hi Lucas and Mira,

Hope you are well. I wanted to send this quick note of appreciation for the lessons we concluded yesterday. It was of great benefit for me 🙂
Yesterday I attended a milonga after a while, and found myself using the first few, fundamental lessons repeatedly: the *pre*paration of short and long steps, leading from the floor, adjustments made in the embrace etc. I was also more aware of my recurring problems, such as the right shoulder carrying tension and going up when leading a pivot. I don’t know if these have made any difference for the followers, but internally, I felt that my dance had improved noticeably from these lessons (though, as you pointed out, with these tango cycles, that could also be my temporarily inflated ego talking).
Musicality-wise, I’m also trying to appreciate the melody more, and also pause more—inspired by your instruction as well as example. My dance remains simple, but now there is a greater illusion of sophistication 😀 One day I will acquire enough vocabulary so that my dance is simple not out of necessity but by choice—till then, this will serve just as well.
Thanks again for the wonderful lessons, and good luck with everything.
Cheers,
Prabhath
